Our Mission

The Waipahu Aloha Clubhouse mission is to offer comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation services to adults with mental illness to help them improve their abilities needed for successful integration into the community and to increase their quality of life. The Clubhouse provides a supportive and nurturing environment that enhances self-motivation, respect for self and others, and a desire to work.

The Clubhouse Model

The Clubhouse model was founded in 1948 in New York City by a group of mentally ill individuals. Since then, the Clubhouse movement has grown to more than 400 clubhouse communities around the world. The Clubhouse model includes 37 standards that all Clubhouses utilize in their daily work-ordered day. Please visit https://clubhouse-intl.org/ to learn more.
